My Special Needs Network

A network to share best practices for children with special needs

As our discussion continues on how providing a sensory rich environment may help children learn, I recently came across this blog from one smart mom who was struggling to get her sensory sensitive child to eat. Check out her forthright and inspiring story on this blog:

Who knew this amazing little modification would make all the difference in a child's mealtime success! You can find the TimeTimer on our online catalog here. Our on-staff team of professionals all adore this handy little timer for easing transitions, building cause/effect skills, time management, organization skills and more! See what a difference it can make in your child's world and let us know if you have a TimeTimer story!

I want a TimeTimer in every room I ever work in. I am not ready for an app because I have a blackberry. I sure love the TimeTimer software on my desktop. Every treatment room and conference room should have a TimeTimer, too. Needless to say every classroom NEEDS one. It is weird to think that for some a TimeTimer works at the dinner table. Who knew?!

Yes, Jan Rogers is the owner and inventor of this great solution. SLP's love this product too for all of the above reasons! Enjoy!
