When my son was born at 28 weeks gestation. We were just so happy that he was alive, having lost another son a year earlier born at 25 weeks. Our joy turned to confusion and feeling of being alone, when we were told that he had suffered oxygen loss before birth and suffered from cerebral palsy. I vowed I would do whatever it took to help DJ be the best he could be.

Get involved in any way you can. Whether its on the parent advisory council for your school, state level, advocacy...get the word out.
