My Role: Occupational Therapist

Place of Work: Self-employed and Washington Elementary School District

This is why I am passionate about special needs.: I have been specializing in pediatric occupational therapy for over 16 years and in my time in the school district, in particular, found that many of the activities and successful strategies I was using with my students would be helpful for teachers and parents to have access to outside of therapy sessions. For this reason, I began creating a line of products that help children with prewriting and cutting skills. You can find Hi-Write products at www.abilitations.com. I love my job and love the students I have worked with. I have watched many of them grow from preschoolers to high schoolers and beyond. I have been very fortunate in that respect!
