I have a son with special needs and while on this journey I have learned how to advocate for my child, I was unaware of the struggles individuals with disabilities face each and every day, until I had my son. I was unaware of how expensive things are, everthing seems to be in the thousands; car seats, swings, bikes and so on. Items many people can pick up at walmart for a cheap price and we may have to save up a whole year to buy our child a car seat. I think it's very unfair, I understand it may be costly due to the time and material it takes, but our kids are being left behind. I believe they should be able to enjoy his or her childhood like typical kids. This is why I am very passionate about special needs.

The most valuable piece of advice I would offer to others regarding special needs.
Is to never give up on your child and know how to fight for him or her, meaning advocate.
