This is why I am passionate about special needs.

Nothing gives me more pleasure to see a challenged child achieve a new skill. The look on their face is priceless, one we all take for granted on typical children. This only gives them the confidence to strive to do more. Then there are more smiles and hugs! THE BEST PART!

The most valuable piece of advice I would offer to others regarding special needs.

Special needs is no different than any other need. It is all in how you approach it. A little more time, more or less touch, a calming voice, a soothing environment, changing the environment to accomodate can make all the difference in the world.

What I hope to gain from My Special Needs Network

More learning and insight is never ending. I am always open to learning from those more experienced than I. Idease create other ideas. It is all about the kids.
