I love to go out with buckets and bag and pick up garbage. There is a wonderful array of things you can do besides cleaning up the school yard, park, and neighborbood. You can graph the items that were found. Recycle items and then discuss the improtance of reduce, reuse, and recycle.

We love to get out of the building for any reason after the long winter months. What a great way to introduce Earth Day and spring clean-up.

We have a local organization that offers horseback riding for my two boys with autism.   If anyone has the option, please give this a try for your child/children.  My boys love it!!

my grandson also loves to horseback ride and this year we are hopefully going to try" surfers healing" they have camps on both coasts during the summer where they just take austic kids surfing.. cant waite since he loves the water!!!!

Oh my gosh!!  I would love for my boys to try to surf!!  I think they would just love the ocean!!  Ryan - my oldest - loves to hear the wind blow...he has limited expressive speech...he will just stand out on our back deck before a storm and look up to the sky! But, then my youngest will go and hide under his covers if there is really strong wind because he is scared!!  They are sooo different...both have autism...but different!

I like flying kites. I love to tie kites to the kiddos wheelchairs and we fun and watch them go high! We also love bubbles. We make a kid pool of bubbles and let the kids stand on a stool and using a hula hoop to make a big bubble around them.

I love the idea of a hula-hoop.  Thanks for that!!

CHECK "SURFERS HEALING"  ON FACEBOOK OR JUST LOOK THEM UP, THEY ARE OUT OF THE WEST COAST, CALIF I THINK, BUT THEY GO ALL OVER. IT IS FREE AND THEY ARE SUPPOSEDLY WONDERFUL WITH THESE KIDS.
